Tourist center for your holidays on riviera adriatica

Within the Po Delta Park, the area between Pomposa and the estuary of the Po di Volano and that between Mesola and the Lido delle Nazioni have the greatest concentration of woodland and marshes in which the visitor can, during his holidays on adriatic riviera, find flora and fauna in the most evocative settings, with long walking and cycling paths made available.

Pomposa Abbey

This is one of the most important monasteries in Italy: it was built before the year 1000 on some raised land in the marshes between the Po di Goro, the Po di Volano and the sea.
The church has three naves following the classic Ravenna model. Inside there are frescoes, majolica, terracotta friezes, Byzantine sculptures, and the monastery is also famous for the invention of the music pentagram by Guido Monaco.

The Forest of Mesola

This extends over an area of 1058 hectares. The present-day wood is the residue of a much larger forest, originating after the year 1000 due to material brought by various branches of the Po. The vegetation consists of Mediterranean species including holm-oak, ash, elm, silver poplar, oriental hornbeam, stone pine and maritime pine. There are numerous birds, both resident and migratory.

Comacchio

Comacchio has preserved its lagoon town characteristics, criss-crossed by its waters which, at one point, encircle it as in past times.
The Trepponti bridge is the town's symbol. Built in 1638 it is the meeting point of the navigation canal Pallotta and the town centre.
The historical town centre can be visited aboard local boats at no charge.
Palazzo Bellini, built in the nineteenth-century by the nobility, houses a Gallery of modern art. The fish market is picturesque with its local produce for sale.

Ferrara

Mario Soldati called Ferrara the "Garden City", one of the most lovely in Italy. Dating back to the VII century, it developed thanks to the Dukes of the Este family, who chose this city for the display of their magnificence through the building of palaces, museums and parks which are still today the pride of its inhabitants.
The Estense Castle, built in 1385, the Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace, Palazzo dei Diamanti, Palazzo Massari with its large public garden and Palazzo Sacrati-Prosperi are only some of the many splendours of Ferrara to be admired.
Ferrara is also the bicycle city; it is easy to get around by cycling paths or along the narrow city centre streets.

Mirabilandia

A modern leisure park, the dream of all children. Attractions, shows, rides, shops, bars, restaurants: all the ingredients for a carefree day out.
